We now have a full rehabilitation gym area in our new clinic which means we have all the equipment, and space, to deliver you a fully personalised rehabilitation journey or bespoke training programme.

Sports Rehabilitation

Following an injury and possibly an operation as a consequence of the injury, Return To Sport (RTS) becomes the primary goal. However, there can be a big gap between receiving your treatment on a table and actually being in a position of Retuning To Play (RTP). At Optimal, the gym area allows us to offer sports specific rehab that is unavailable at most other clinics, by being able to assess movement, mobility and strength of an injury, monitor and offer further treatment if required. With vast experience of treating some of the major sporting injuries such as ACL, MCL, TA (Achilles Tendon), ankles and shoulders, rehab specific to your needs is available whether in conjunction with your current treatment or following on from any physiotherapy that you may have undergone post-surgery. This allows for a more exercise targeted rehabilitation, meaning that you can carry more confidence in the return to your sporting activities.

We can also assist with exercise rehab and gait re-education for those that aren’t so active or who have had operations/procedures such Total Knee or Total Hip Replacements (TKR & THR) or simply find themselves on crutches or in boots/braces following an injury.
