Seb Challen BSc (Hons), MSc, MSST
Sports Injury has been an important aspect of my training from the very beginning. I graduated from the University of Kent in 2007 with a degree in Sports Therapy, Health and Fitness. I then went on to complete a Masters degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation which was completed in 2008.
Mission
My mission and goal is to enhance people’s performance in their chosen field whether it be on the sports field, at home, or at work and to help people continue to do their activities for as long as possible. As a local lad from Overton I want to provide this service to Hampshire and it is my belief that any session should be aimed at being both professional and honest.
Experience
I carried out valuable experience with a variety of highly competitive sports teams including Kent County Cricket Club, Watford FC, and Chatham Town FC before joining a Spine Centre in Canterbury, Kent.
I spent a year and a half at the Spine Centre providing deep tissue massage, power stretching workshops, and sports injury expertise to individuals from a variety of professions and ranging between the ages of 16 to 80.
Having that opportunity has allowed me to further develop my skills and knowledge base to the next level and further improve the quality of the treatment I provide.
The Optimal Sports Therapy Centre, Basingstoke, offers a wide range of treatments and corrections. Treatments are aimed to speed up recovery, restore function and help you return to your normal daily activities at work, leisure or sport.
Preventing injury and optimising performance is beneficial to everyone whether on the sports field, at work or at home. Through a comprehensive assessment of posture, muscle imbalance, biomechanics and flexibility, any imbalances will be identified. A programme addressing these inefficiencies will allow you to continue your sport or activities with a decreased risk of injury while enhancing your performance.
